2024 Paris Olimpiyat Oyunları Açılış Seremonisinin Kültürel Asimilasyon Bağlamında Göstergebilimsel Analizi

Abstract
Bu makale, 2024 Paris Olimpiyatları açılış seremonisini kültürel temsiller ve göstergebilimsel analiz bağlamında incelemektedir. Çalışmada, Roland Barthes’ın göstergebilim teorisi ve Stuart Hall’un kültürel çalışmalar yaklaşımı temel alınarak, törenin sanatsal ve toplumsal mesajları çözümlemiştir. Analiz sürecinde törenin video kayıtlarından elde edilen görsel ve performatif unsurlar denotasyon, konotasyon ve mit kavramları çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır.
Araştırma, törende kullanılan sembollerin yerel Fransız kültürünü nasıl yansıttığını ve küresel bir izleyici kitlesine hitap etmek amacıyla nasıl dönüştürüldüğünü ortaya koymaktadır. Eyfel Kulesi, Fransız Devrimi temaları, toplumsal cinsiyet normlarına meydan okuyan performanslar ve teknolojik unsurlar gibi ögeler hem Fransa’nın tarihsel mirasını hem de modernite vurgusunu içermektedir.
Sonuç olarak, 2024 Paris Olimpiyatları açılış seremonisi, uluslararası etkinliklerin kültürel temsil üzerindeki etkilerini tartışmaya açan bir platform olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışma, yerel kimliklerin küresel bağlamda nasıl yeniden yapılandırıldığına ve bu sürecin toplumsal ve kültürel dönüşüm üzerindeki etkilerine ışık tutmaktadır.

Abstract
This article examines the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the context of cultural representations and semiotic analysis. Drawing on Roland Barthes' semiotic theory and Stuart Hall's cultural studies approach, the study analyzes the artistic and social messages conveyed in the ceremony. Visual and performative elements from the ceremony's video recordings were analyzed through the concepts of denotation, connotation, and myth.
The research reveals how the symbols used in the ceremony reflect local French culture and how they were transformed to appeal to a global audience. Elements such as the Eiffel Tower, themes of the French Revolution, performances challenging gender norms, and technological aspects emphasize both France's historical heritage and its modernity.
In conclusion, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics is evaluated as a platform that opens a discussion on the impact of international events on cultural representation. The study sheds light on how local identities are reconstructed in a global context and the effects of this process on social and cultural transformation.
