Abstract
Seramik, geçmişten günümüze yaşamının her alanın da yer alan bir malzeme olmuştur. Farklı şekillerde kullanılan seramikler bazen günlük kullanım eşyası olarak bazense sanatsal ifade aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Her zaman insanoğlunun ilgisini çeken sanat bazen yüzeysel tasarımlarla bazen üç boyutlu tasarım olarak her zaman varlığını sürdürmüş ve sürdürmeye devam etmektedir. Seramik sanatının bir dalı olan çömlekçi tornası öğrenim süreci hem çömlekçi tornasını kullanımını öğrenmek isteyenler için, hem de seramik sanat dalına ilgisi olan bireyler için her zaman merak konusu olmuştur. Bu çalışma ile çömlekçi tornasının öğrenim süresinin incelenmesi, verilerin doğrultusunda sorun, eksiklik vb. problemlerin çözülmesi ve eğitim süreci tespiti yapılmıştır. Araştırma temel nitel araştırma modeline göre tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ege bölgesinde yer alan bir devlet üniversitesinin seramik bölümünde okuyan ve çömlekçi tornası eğitimi alan 7 lisans sanatçı adayı öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları yardımıyla yüz yüze görüşmeler yoluyla ve katılımcı gözlem teknikleri ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde nitel araştırmaların doğasına uygun olan kod, kategori ve temaları kapsayacak şekilde betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır.

Examination of the Opinions of Artist Candidates about the Potter's Lathe Learning Process
Ceramics has been a material that has been involved in all areas of life from past to present. Ceramics used in different ways were sometimes used as a daily use item and sometimes as a means of artistic expression. Art, which has always attracted the attention of mankind, has always existed and continues to exist, sometimes with superficial designs, sometimes as a three-dimensional design. The process of learning the potter's lathe, which is a branch of ceramic art, has always been a subject of curiosity for both individuals who want to learn the use of the potter's lathe and individuals who have an interest in the field of ceramic art. With this study, the study of the learning period of the potter's lathe, problems, deficiencies in accordance with the data, etc. the problems were solved and the educational process was determined. The research was designed according to the basic qualitative research model. The study group of the study consists of 7 undergraduate artist candidate students studying at the ceramics department of a state university located in the Aegean region and studying potter's lathe. The data were collected through face-to-face interviews and participant observation techniques with the help of semi-structured interview questions. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis was used to cover the codes, categories and themes that are appropriate for the nature of qualitative research.
