Abstract

Bu çalışma, yaklaşık altı yüz yıl hüküm sürmüş Osmanlı Devleti’nin sanata bakış açısını ve bu süre zarfında sultanların resim sanatına karşı tutumlarını ele alırken, minyatürden batı tarzı resme evrim aşamaları da incelenmektedir. Dönemin başlarında, padişahın himayesinde,el yazması kitaplarda yer alan açıklayıcı minyatür resimlerinitüm ayrıntılarıyla yapan nakkaşlar, sultanın saltanatını yüceltirken aynı zamanda bizlere yazıldığı döneme ait çok değerli bilgiler vermektedir. Her padişah döneminde, resim sanatına verilen değerfarklılık göstermektedir. Ahmet’in padişahlığındaki Lale Devri ile başlamıştır denilebilir. Selim döneminde Mühendis-i Berri Hümayun’un açılışı, II. Mahmut döneminde Avrupa’ya resim eğitimine gönderilen öğrenciler ve padişahın kıyafet devrimi sonrasında yaptırdığı portrelerini devlet dairelerine astırması resim adına olumlu gelişmelerdir. Bunlarla birlikte II. Abdülhamit döneminde Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi ile Osmanlı’nın ilk güzel sanatlar okulu açılmıştır. Çalışmanın yöntemi literatür tarama olup, alan yazındaki incelemelerin analiziyle şekillenmiştir.

Abstract

While this study deals with the perspective of the Ottoman Empire, which ruled for nearly six hundred years, on art and the attitudes of the sultans towards painting during this period, the evolution stages from miniature to western style painting are also examined.  At the beginning of the period, under the patronage of the sultan, the miniaturists, who made the explanatory miniature paintings in the manuscripts in all details, glorify the sultan's reign and at the same time give us very valuable information about the period in which it was written.  In each sultan's period, the value given to the art of painting differs.  This was sometimes influenced by the level of interest and sometimes by religion.  It is known that the first great support for art from 36 Ottoman sultans came from Fatih Sultan Mehmet and he had Italian artist Bellini's portrait painted.  Although it is known that the princes took the throne by receiving versatile education, it should be accepted that each of them has a different level and temperament.  Although miniature paintings continued to be made in the following period, the second major change was III.  It can be said that it started with the Tulip Era under Ahmet's sultanate.  The arrival of the printing press is among the effects that accelerated the closing of the miniature period in manuscripts.  Levni and Abdullah Buhari are among the important and last muralists of this period.  Respectively III.  The opening of the Engineer-i Berri Hümayun during the reign of Selim II.  The students who were sent to Europe for painting education during the reign of Mahmut II and the sultan's portraits that he had made after the dress revolution were positive developments in terms of painting.  Along with these, II.  During the reign of Abdülhamit, Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi and the first fine arts school of the Ottoman Empire were opened.  The method of the study is literature review and has been shaped by the analysis of the studies in the literature.
