Authors’ Ethical Responsibilities
- Originality and Novelty: Authors must guarantee the originality of their work and properly cite the ideas, language, images, graphics, and tables of other researchers. Failure to cite sources constitutes plagiarism.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest or personal relationships related to their manuscript transparently.
- Data Presentation and Accuracy: Authors are responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the data presented. Raw data must be provided to reviewers upon request during peer review and, if necessary, after publication. Authors must remain faithful to their findings without fabricating, falsifying, or manipulating results. Actions such as data alteration, omission, or ignoring difficult data interpretations are unacceptable.
- Authorship Statement: Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the manuscript should be listed as authors. All listed authors share responsibility for the content. Omitting a contributor’s name or including individuals without significant contribution is unacceptable. Manuscripts must include a statement of Author Contributions, and where applicable, Funding and Acknowledgements, and Conflict of Interest declarations.
- Permissions and Approvals: Studies involving human or animal subjects require all necessary ethical approvals and informed consent documentation from participants.
- Reporting Errors: Authors who identify errors in published or submitted work must promptly inform the editor and cooperate in correction or retraction processes.
- Duplicate Publication: Manuscripts submitted to IJCOMAR must not be under review or published elsewhere. Dual submissions or publications are prohibited.
- Author Order and Changes: The order of authors cannot be changed once the review process has commenced.
