Abstract
Moda, tarihsel olarak kültürel değerleri ve bireysel kimlikleri yansıtan bir ifade biçimi olmuştur. Özellikle cinsiyet temelli normlar, tarih boyunca moda tasarımında belirleyici bir rol oynamıştır. Ancak günümüzde moda, cinsiyetle ilgili geleneksel kalıplardan bağımsız bir şekilde evrilerek, çok daha kapsayıcı ve özgür bir alana dönüşmektedir. Kısaca toplumsal cinsiyet normlarının sorgulanması, cinsiyetsiz moda kavramını hem teorik hem de estetik düzlemde öne çıkarmıştır. Bu bağlamda, cinsiyetsiz moda tasarımı, bu evrimin en önemli göstergelerinden biri olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Cinsiyetsiz moda kavramının çağdaş moda tasarımında hem biçimsel hem de söylemsel bir kırılma noktası oluşturduğu gerçeğine dayanan bu çalışmada, JW Anderson’un 2023 İlkbahar/ Yaz ve 2024 Sonbahar/Kış koleksiyonlarını toplumsal cinsiyet teorileri bağlamında incelemiştir. Çalışmada, queer kuram ve toplumsal cinsiyet temelli moda teorileri ışığında koleksiyonlar biçimsel ve temsil düzeyinde analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, markanın moda aracılığıyla toplumsal cinsiyet ikiliğine karşı bir temsil stratejisi geçirdiğini ortaysa koymaktadır. JW Anderson’un tasarımlarının cinsiyet ikiliklerini sorguladığı ve moda aracılığıyla kimliğe dair alternatif anlatılar sunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
Fashion has historically been a form of expression that reflects cultural values and individual identities. Especially gender-based norms have played a decisive role in fashion design throughout history. However, today, fashion is evolving independently of traditional gender templates, transforming into a much more inclusive and free space. In short, the questioning of gender norms has brought the concept of gender fashion to the forefront both theoretically and aesthetically. In this context, genderless fashion design emerges as one of the most significant indicators of this evolution. This study is based on the fact that the concept of genderless fashion creates both a formal and discursive breaking point in contemporary fashion design, and it examines JW Anderson's Spring/Summer 2023 and Autumn/Winter 2024 collections within the context of gender theories. In the study, the collections have been analyzed in terms of form and representation in light of queer theory and gender-based fashion theories. The findings indicate that the brand has undergone a representation strategy against the gender binary through fashion. It has been concluded that JW Anderson's designs question gender binaries and offer alternative narratives about identity through fashion.
