Bu çalışma kapsamında Zeki Demirkubuz’un Nahid Sırrı Örik’in aynı adlı romanından uyarlanan Kıskanmak (2009) filmindeki Seniha karakterine, ünlü psikanalist Melanie Klein’ın haset kavramı çerçevesinde yaklaşılarak filmin psikanalizi yapılmaya çalışılacaktır.

Abstract

Child psychoanalyst and founder of the object relations school, Melanie Klein is one of the most influential theorists in the history of psychoanalysis after Sigmund Freud. In his analysis, Klein mostly focuses on the concept of envy in the context of object relations. Because according to him; She says that the concept of envy is a very powerful factor that undermines the feelings of love and gratitude at the very beginning, and that it affects the first relationship, the relationship of the person with his mother (primary good object). The decisive role that this relationship plays in the entire emotional life of the individual has a significant impact on the field of personality formation. Envy has quite destructive effects that determine and direct one's life. (Klein,2008:18)

Zeki Demirkubuz's 2009 film Kıskanmak, which is discussed within the scope of this study, is also concerned with the feeling of envy that Klein focuses on. The film focuses on the relations between two brothers and his brother's wife, but contrary to popular belief, the film deals with the "envy" of the sister rather than the jealousy of the married couple. The film focuses on the psychopathology of the sister's being overshadowed by her favorite brother by her family since childhood and the envy that the sister developed for her evening dress. In this sense, the film is shaped by the envy of the sister rather than the jealousy of the husband and wife with the manipulation of its own name. Throughout the story universe of the film, it is understood that the traces of envy are formed on the sister since childhood, and in this sense, there is a dual subject problem as defined by Melanie Klein. At the end of the film, the way the sister destroyed her brother's life gets its true meaning with the destructive, destructive and moreover polluting dimensions of the feeling of envy that Klein defines.

Within the scope of this study, the character of Seniha in the movie Kıskanmak (2009), adapted from Zeki Demirkubuz's novel of the same name by Nahid Sırrı Örik, will be approached within the framework of the concept of envy by the famous psychoanalyst Melanie Klein, and the psychoanalysis of the film will be attempted.
