Abstract
Sinema; oluşturduğu görsellik algısı ile dünyanın en gösterişli sektörlerinden biri konumundadır. Bu denli büyük bir sektöre ait sanatsal ve teknik başarıların ödüllendirilmesi için popüler adıyla “Oscar Ödül Töreni” diğer adıyla “Akademi Ödüller” düzenlenmektedir. Sinema Sanatları ve Bilimleri Akademisi tarafından yılda bir kez verilen bu ödüller, sinema dünyası için dünya çapında bir başarı işareti olarak nitelendirilmektedir. 1964 yılından itibaren televizyondan yayınlanmaya başlayan tören, konukların salona girişleri için önlerine serilen kırmızı halının kameralar tarafından görüntüleme kararının alınmasıyla adeta yıldızlar geçidine dönüşmüştür. O günden bugüne birçok oyuncu, müzisyen, yönetmen, yapımcı ve tasarımcı gelenekselleşen kırmızı halı seremonisinde şıklıkları ile dikkatleri üzerine çekmektedirler. Medyanın oldukça geniş kapsamlı izlediği bu törende giyilen kostümler kadar seçilen renkler de bir o kadar önemlidir. Pantone, oluşturduğu eşleştirme sistemi ile renklere bir standardizasyon getirmiş ve farklı endüstri kollarında hatasız renk iletişimini sağlamıştır. Zamanla küresel bir renk otoritesi olarak kabul edilen Pantone; farklı ülkelerden bir araya gelen renk standartları temsilcileri tarafından bir sonraki yılın rengini tayin etmektedir. 1999 yılından itibaren yapılan bu seçim ile renklerin daha etkili bir şekilde sunulması amaçlamıştır. Bugün 25. yılını kutlayan bu organizasyon, yılın rengi olarak şeftali tüyünü seçmiştir. Bu çalışmada da 25.Pantone yılın renginin 96. Oscar Ödül Törenindeki kırmızı halı kostümlerinde ne derece etkili olduğu incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.

In order to reward the artistic and technical achievements of such a large sector, the "Oscar Award Ceremony", also known as the "Academy Awards", is organized. These awards, which are given annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, are considered a worldwide mark of success for the world of cinema. The ceremony, which started to be broadcast on television since 1964, turned into a parade of stars when the cameras decided to view the red carpet laid out in front of the guests to enter the hall. Since then, many actors, musicians, directors, producers and designers have attracted attention with their elegance in the traditional red carpet ceremony. In this ceremony, which is widely followed by the media, the colors chosen are as important as the costumes worn. Pantone has brought a standardization to colors with the matching system it has created and has ensured error-free color communication in different industries. Pantone, which has been accepted as a global color authority over time; It determines the color of the next year by color standards representatives from different countries. With this selection made since 1999, it is aimed to present the colors more effectively. This organization, which celebrates its 25th anniversary today, has chosen peach feather as the color of the year. In this study, the 25th Pantone is the 96th color of the year. It has been tried to examine how effective it is in the red carpet costumes at the Oscar Awards Ceremony.
