Abstract
Araştırmada döneminin ve günümüzün önemli sosyal psikoloji filmlerinden biri olan Sidney Lumet’in yönetmenliğini yaptığı ve Reginald Rose’un aynı isimli televizyon oyunundan uyarlanarak Amerikan yargı sürecini özellikle jüri sistemi üzerinden eleştiren 1957 yapımı 12 Angry Man (12 Öfkeli Adam) filmi, etik ilkeler ve ahlaki değerler açısından analiz edilmektedir. Filmin konusunu bir grup sıradan ancak etnik köken, sosyo-ekonomik düzey, yaş, eğitim düzeyi, inanç ve karakter bakımından farklılaşan jüri üyesinin bir gencin yargılanmasında karara varma süreci oluştururken, iletilmek istenilen mesaj bir insanın hayatı üzerine karar verilirken ahlaki değerlerin ve hukuk etiğinin gerektirdiği inceliklerin önemidir. Filmin konusu kapsamında bireylerin veya grupların, doğru ve yanlış davranışlarını ele alan ve bu kapsamda uygulanan belirli kurallar bütünü olan etik ilkeler ile yine toplumsal ve kültürel normlar doğrultusunda şekillenen ve doğru ile yanlışın ne olduğu konusunda uygulanan yazılı olmayan kurallar bütünü olarak ifade edilen ahlaki değerler sorgulanarak karakterler üzerinden etik sorumluluklar, meslek etiği bağlamında hukuk sisteminin etik çerçevesi ve karar alma sürecindeki ahlaki yükümlülükler analiz edilmektedir.

Abstract
In this study, the 1957 film 12 Angry Men, directed by Sidney Lumet and adapted from Reginald Rose's television play of the same name, which criticizes the American judicial process, especially through the jury system, which is one of the important social psychology films of its period and today, is analyzed in terms of ethical principles and moral values. While the subject of the film is the process of a group of ordinary but differentiated jurors in terms of ethnicity, socio-economic level, age, education level, beliefs and character, reaching a verdict in the trial of a teenager, the message to be conveyed is the importance of the subtleties required by moral values and legal ethics when making a decision on a person's life. Within the scope of the subject of the film, ethical principles, which are a set of certain rules that address the right and wrong behaviors of individuals or groups and are applied in this context, and moral values as a set of unwritten rules that are shaped in line with social and cultural norms and applied on what is right and wrong, are questioned and ethical responsibilities through the characters, the ethical framework of the legal system in the context of professional ethics and moral obligations in the decision-making process are analyzed.
